Day 1 ARRIVE KOTA KINABALU
Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for your own leisure. Kota Kinabalu, formerly known as Jesselton, is one of the most thriving commercial centers in East Malaysia and major gateway into Sabah and Borneo Island. Overnight in Kota Kinabalu
Day 2 NORTH BORNEO STEAM TRAIN (breakfast, lunch)
After breakfast, departs for Tanjung Aru Station for boarding the Steam Train.  North Borneo Railway is the oldest running steam train in Sabah and Borneo. The nostalgic romance of an old steam train relives memories of a bygone era. Passing through villages and coastal towns, paddy fields, rainforests and plantations of rubber and coffee, a ride on North Borneo Railway is truly a journey of rediscovery into the heart of Borneo. Lasting approximately 4 hours, passengers experience the lush landscape of the coastal and rural regions of Sabah. A typical 'tiffin' colonial lunch will be served on the return trip. After the tour return to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure. Overnight in Kota Kinabalu

Day 3 KINABALU PARK AND PORING HOT SPRINGS (breakfast, lunch)
Today you will be picked up from your hotel and taken on a day trip to Kinabalu Park and Poring. You will be driven for 2.5 hours across mountainous Crocker Range with panoramic view of the countryside and soaring hills. En route to Kinabalu Park, visit the Nabalu Market where you can find local handicraft and tropical fruits.
Upon arrival in Poring take the 41m high canopy walk which offers a spectacular view of the rainforest and dip in a steaming Japanese style bathtub filled with running sulfured water rising from the earth's depth. After Poring you will be transferred to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a guided nature trek along one of the many trails in the park and discover the amazing insectivorous pitcher plants and other exotic plants in the Botanical Garden. Overnight in Kota Kinabalu.
Day 4 LAHAD DATU - DANUM VALLEY (full board)
Early morning transfer to Kota Kinabalu for your flight to Lahad Datu. Upon arrival in Lahad Datu you will be met at the airport and driven for about 2.hrs though selectively logged forest to Borneo Rainforest Lodge, located beside the Danum River on the edge of 438 square kilometres of untouched lowland rainforest. You may be lucky enough to spot wildlife on the way.  Upon arrival at the lodge, proceed to your room. After lunch you will be taken on a guided trekking along the Nature Trail for an introduction to the rainforest ecosystem. This evening, after a slide presentation on Danum Valley Conservation Area, you will join a night safari on an open-air truck. Using a powerful spot light the guide will point out nocturnal species. Day 5 DANUM VALLEY (full board)
Rise early this morning and enjoy a whole day in the beautiful Danum Valley. A short walk from the lodge will bring you to the canopy walkway, suspended 26 metres above the forest floor. The view is magical. In the early mornings, mist hangs over the rainforest, forming a white veil from which only the tallest treetops emerge. After breakfast you will climb up the trail which brings you the View Point. You will stop along the way to discover the huge variety of flora and fauna. Close to the summit, you will explore an ancient Kadazandusun burial site. Upon reaching the View Point you will rewarded with a fantastic view over the valley. On your return, enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural Jacuzzi pool. After lunch enjoy an extended hike to look for orangutan, birds and other wildlife along nature trails, or join a relaxing session of water tubing down the Danum River. As, darkens falls, enjoy a guided night jungle walk in search in search of nocturnal species. Overnight at the Borneo Rainforest Lodge.
Day 6 DANUM VALLEY - LAHAD DATU - GOMANTONG CAVES - SUKAU (full board)
After breakfast return to Lahad Datu, then continue your journey to Sukau for about 2 hours. En route visit the Gomantong Caves, famed for its their ‘edible bird nests’. Walk for about 10 minutes through rainforest on a wooden boardwalk to the entrance of Simud Hitam Cavern and explore the cave system. The resident creatures of the caves include swiftlets (from which the nests are collected) and bats among others. After Gomantong Caves, you will be driven to Sukau. Upon arrival in Sukau village, take a short boat ride to Borneo Nature Lodge. After a brief orientation, you will be given free time to freshen up before the safari river cruise. Late afternoon, embark on a scenic boat trip on the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife – at dusk you might see an amazing variety of birds, monitor lizards, macaques and proboscis monkeys. Return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight at the Borneo Nature Lodge.
Day 7 OXBOW LAKE - SAFARI KINABATANGAN RIVER (full board)
This morning you will be awakened by the calls of gibbon monkeys and the sounds of hornbills. Embark on another river cruise to Kelenanap Oxbow Lake for birdwatching. Take a short jungle walk (if weather permits) and experience the wilderness of Borneo before returning to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the morning is at your leisure to explore the surrounding areas or nearby villages. Late afternoon embark on another river cruise in search of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the Borneo Nature Lodge
Day 8 SEPILOK ORANGUTAN - SUN BEAR CONSERVATION CENTRE  (breakfast, lunch)
Today you will be driven for 2.5 hours to Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre for up-close orangutan encounter. Walk ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden boardwalk to witness the feeding of orangutans from the platform in the forest. After the feeding time of the orangutan you will be taken to the Outdoor Nursery where you will see juvenile and baby orangutans climbing and playing on the rope and in the trees.
After the outdoor nursery continue to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. These bears are the smallest of all sub-species and, like the orang utan, they are arboreal and are losing their habitat through deforestation. Sadly, they are also poached, captured for pets and used in Asian medicine. Keeper are nursing them back to health and where necessary, educating in how to be a wild bear. The intention is then to release them into the forest. After lunch proceed to the The Rainforest Discovery Centre. Take a bird view of the centre from the canopy walk and hanging bridge before exploring the botanical garden, home to various species of flora. After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel Overnight in Sepilok
Day 9 LANKAYAN ISLAND (full board)
After breakfast transfer to Sandakan Yacht Club and proceed by speedboat to Lankayan Island Resort. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.Overnight at the Lankayan Island Resort.
Day 10-11 LANKAYAN ISLAND (full board)
3 boat dives per day or at leisure. Overnight at the Lankayan Island Resort.
Day 12 LANKAYAN ISLAND - DEPART SANDAKAN (breakfast)
After breakfast return to Sandakan and transfer to the airport to catch your onward flight.
